CANADAHALIFAX news ‘Flip me the bird’: Premier urges people to stop being rude to workers over proof-of-vaccination policy by admin 7 أكتوبر، 2021 written by admin 7 أكتوبر، 2021 456 Premier Tim Houston’s comments come after hearing reports of residents taking their anger out on staff while refusing to follow public health measures HALIFAXtoday\ Chris Halef Listen to this article Nova Scotia’s Premier is urging residents who are not on board with the new proof-of-vaccination policy to stop taking it out on workers trying to enforce the measure. Earlier this week, the province implemented its new policy which requires people to show proof that they are fully vaccinated in order to take part in non-essential activities, like restaurants, gyms, cinemas, concert halls and sport facilities. Speaking at Wednesday’s COVID-19 briefing, Premier Tim Houston said he’s heard reports of residents being rude to staff while refusing to follow public health measures. “We all know how ridiculous this type of behaviour is,” said Houston. “If you don’t want to wear your mask, if you don’t want to get vaccinated, that’s your choice. But your choice has ramifications and there are no excuses for taking it out on anyone, particularly those who are just trying to do their job.” Houston says there’s no reason for residents to take their anger out on those who are only following the rules his government has implemented. “If you’re unhappy, feel free to flip me the bird when I’m walking down the street,” he said. Houston says if residents don’t want to follow public health protocols, they should just stay home. 649 comments 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Provincial government employees will need to be fully vaccinated next post Halifax will require municipal employees be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 You may also like Wilkie wins Canada’s first gold medal at Milan... 8 مارس، 2026 Iranian state TV says Mojtaba Khamenei, son of... 8 مارس، 2026 Missing police badge recovered in proactive traffic stop 8 مارس، 2026 Mooseheads win season series against Eagles 8 مارس، 2026 PM Carney calls federal by-elections for April in... 8 مارس، 2026 بمشاعر تتأرجح بين الارتياح والتوتر: كنديون يغادرون لبنان... 8 مارس، 2026 Diesel prices to shift again in Nova Scotia... 6 مارس، 2026 Halifax Water investigating ‘privacy incident’ on its online... 6 مارس، 2026 Halifax teens lament the loss of government program... 6 مارس، 2026 Spring Garden area businesses call out paid parking... 6 مارس، 2026 Leave a Comment Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment.
