According to Halifax Regional Police, officers were called to Springvale Elementary in Halifax around 2:45 p.m. to a suspected drug ingestion by the students. Const. John MacLeod said one of the students brought packages of labeled cannabis edibles from home and shared them with four others. The students were taken to hospital for treatment and reports said the consumption was not expected to be life-threatening.
