Ferry service suspended amid high winds

by admin

CITYnews halifax / By Mark Hodgins

A strong wind storm blowing through the region on Monday has impacted Halifax Transit.

The service says as of 4:30 p.m. Monday it has pulled its ferries due to the high winds.

People looking to cross the harbour will be able to take a shuttle to Halifax, Alderney and Woodside terminals.

The Mackay bridge was closed to heavy and high-sided vehicles on account of the gusty conditions, too.
