At an event yesterday, the newly upgraded facility at Ragged Lake was officially opened, allowing the first buses to become fully operational. In a video posted to social media after the event, project manager Anthony Edmonds said replacing older diesel buses with electric ones is a game changer for the city. The project aligns with municipal, provincial, and federal climate targets and will help to achieve the goals and actions outlined in HalifACT, the municipality’s climate action plan. Phase 2 of the project will see a $20-million upgrade to the transit centre in Burnside that Halifax Transit says will allow it to operate the existing diesel fleet and new electric buses, while also planning for other potential fueling alternatives like natural gas or hydrogen. The cost is to be shared by three levels of government: Government of Canada: $6.5 million Government of Nova Scotia: $7.1 million Halifax Regional Municipality: $7.1 million Work is expected to be completed in 2028. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Chignecto Isthmus case waste of Nova Scotia Court of Appeal’s time: federal lawyer next post عملاء داخل “حزب الله”… هل تسلل الموساد عبر المخدرات وعمليات خارجية؟ You may also like جولي تجتمع بقادة صناعة الصلب والنقابات، لكنها لم... 5 يونيو، 2025 كيبيك: توجه لخفض عدد المهاجرين الدائمين إلى 25... 5 يونيو، 2025 Search group warns against fake fundraisers exploiting two... 5 يونيو، 2025 Scientists seek to study eDNA to identify how... 5 يونيو، 2025 Rise in number of great whites in N.S.... 5 يونيو، 2025 What happened to the Sullivan children in Nova... 5 يونيو، 2025 Nova Scotia removes trade barriers with five provinces... 5 يونيو، 2025 بنك كندا يُبقي معدل الفائدة الأساسي عند 2,75% 4 يونيو، 2025 ساسكاتشِوان: حرائق الغابات تجبر 15 ألفاً على المغادرة... 4 يونيو، 2025 Committee to discuss NS Power breach that allowed... 4 يونيو، 2025
