Halifax Regional Police says officers responded to the crash in the 700 block of Parkland Drive just before 11 a.m. A driver struck a utility pole, police say, and was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. “Traffic is currently being re-routed in the area and Parkland Drive will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic for an extended period to repair the utility pole,” police wrote in a media release.
