On Sunday morning, an officer caught a vehicle heading inbound to Halifax on the MacDonald Bridge at a speed of 110 km/h in a 50 km/h zone. Police said a 37-year-old man was ticketed for stunting under the Motor Vehicle Act. Then on Monday afternoon, an officer laid charges after a vehicle on Victoria Road at Highway 111, was travelling 119 km/h in a 60 km/h zone. Police said both drivers were suspended for seven days, and their vehicles were seized. According to HRP, stunting charges are automatically laid when a vehicle is travelling more than 50 km/h over the speed limit.
