In a release this morning, Halifax Regional Police say they have charged a man in relation to a number of thefts and robberies that occurred between Oct. 29 and Nov. 2. On Oct. 29, officers responded to a theft at Bass Pro Shops, located at 50 Cabela Road where a man allegedly entered the business, stole merchandise then fled to a waiting vehicle. On Oct. 31, officers responded to a robbery that had occurred at the Circle K Irving at 10 Highfield Park Drive where a male suspect, who indicated he had a weapon, entered the store, allegedly threatened the employee and demanded cigarettes. The suspect fled the area on foot with a quantity of cigarettes. Just after 5 p.m. on Nov. 1, officers responded to a robbery that had occurred at Needs Convenience located at 100 Highfield Park Drive. There, a man with a knife entered the store, allegedly threatened the employee and demanded money and cigarettes. The suspect fled the area on foot with a quantity of cash and cigarettes. That same day, just before 6 p.m., officers were called to Triple N Convenience at 187 Windmill Road where a man, allegedly with a knife, threatened the employee and demanded money and cigarettes before fleeing the area. Finally, on Nov. 2, officers responded to a robbery that had occurred at the Ultramar located at 640 Windmill Road. That same day, officers located the suspect at a residence on Yorkshire Avenue in Dartmouth and arrested him in relation to the above incidents and a parole suspension warrant. Daniel Gregory Roach, 26, was taken into custody without incident and officers seized a replica firearm.
