The May 27th show called Resounding will feature the Kiefer Sutherland Band’s first ever public performance in Halifax, fronted by the Emmy-award-winning actor known for his role as Jack Bauer on the TV show “24”. He’ll be joined by: Jeremy Dutcher: Polaris Music Prize-winning performer, composer and activist. His music transcends boundaries: unapologetically playful in its incorporation of classical influences, full of reverence for the traditional songs of his home and teeming with the urgency of modern-day struggles of resistance. Ashley MacIsaac: the award-winning fiddler known over his 30-year career for playing with intensity, authenticity and passion unlike any other. He’ll be joined on stage once again with former Symphony Nova Scotia composer Scott Macmillan. Hillsburn: Halifax-based indie pop band considered to be one of Canada’s next biggest acts. Their three full-length studio albums have received critical acclaim including five nominations at this year’s ECMA awards. Reeny Smith: her powerful voice and vibrant, emotional rollercoaster of a stage show has solidified her as one of the most enthralling artists in Canada. She’s developed her craft as a songwriter and received recognition for the depth and realism of her work and great pride in her North Preston roots. Performances from Fountain School of Performing Arts faculty, alumni and students. “What an incredible and eclectic night it will be with up-and-coming and seasoned indie pop, soul, rock and classical performers-plus a world-renowned Nova Scotia fiddler,” said Sheila Blair-Reid, Dalhousie University’s assistant vice-president of external engagement. “I can’t wait to see it all come together.” The recently renovated and expanded Dalhousie Arts Centre includes new teaching, rehearsal and performance spaces for students, particularly in the Fountain School of Performing Arts. “This revitalization is one of the largest investments in performing arts infrastructure in our region in the last 50 years,” Blair-Reid added. “The Dalhousie Arts Centre is an absolute cornerstone of the arts in the Maritimes, and the entire community is thrilled to have it back and better than ever. It will breathe new life into the arts in our region and we can’t wait to celebrate!” Tickets for Resounding are on sale now and include a $50 contribution to Dal’s Performing Arts Campaign. A tax receipt will be issued for this portion of the ticket price. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Designated park solution a ‘band-aid approach’ to homelessness, says Dalhousie professor next post Nova Scotia scraps non-resident property tax You may also like Mark Carney expected to call federal election on... 20 مارس، 2025 منع ارتداء النقاب في مدارس كيبيك العامة والخاصة 20 مارس، 2025 حديث ترامب عن الضمّ دفع كندا إلى محادثات... 20 مارس، 2025 كارني يطلب الأحد حلّ البرلمان وإطلاق الحملة الانتخابية،... 20 مارس، 2025 محاولات إدخال البيْض، لا الفنتانيل، في تزايد إلى... 20 مارس، 2025 City officials remove remaining tents on Halifax Common 20 مارس، 2025 HRM council directs staff to create cancer screening... 20 مارس، 2025 In response to critics, Nova Scotia amends bills... 20 مارس، 2025 Seafood industry faces uncertainty as Chinese tariffs take... 20 مارس، 2025 تراجع ملحوظ في الهجرة غير الدائمة إلى كندا 20 مارس، 2025
