Sidney Crosby has joined an exclusive club. 

The Cole Harbour native scored his 500th career NHL goal on Tuesday night in the Pittsburgh Penguins’ 5-4 overtime win over their rival Philadelphia Flyers.

Crosby is the 46th NHL player to reach the 500 goal plateau and the third active player to hit the mark.

Crosby also the second Pittsburgh Penguin to reach the milestone, after Mario Lemieux.
