The RCMP are investigating after a 28-year-old Springhill man died in a fatal crash in River Philip.

Mounties say the incident occurred Saturday, when officers were called around 6:40 p.m. to Highway 321, where a Honda Civic had gone off the road into a culvert.

Responding RCMP, fire services and EHS found the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, who later died at hospital from their injuries.

RCMP say Highway 321 was closed for several hours as a collision reconstructionist investigated.

Few other details have been provided, but the RCMP continues to investigate.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage of the incident is asked to contact Cumberland County District RCMP.
