Chance of flurries this week in Halifax

Temperatures have been dropping slowly in Halifax over the last several days, so much so, that it’s possible people could see some flurries.

According to Environment Canada, Tuesday could see a bit of rain in the afternoon as fog patches dissipate. Wind is expected to pick up from 30 km/h to 50 km/h and possibly end near 70 km/h tonight.

The high today is 12 C but the wind chill later this evening temperatures will drop to around 0 C bringing the possibility (about 60 per cent chance) of flurries overnight.

Wednesday will be mainly cloudy with the chance of flurries still possible in the early morning. The wind from the north is likely to be gusting around 70 km/h. The weather agency expects temperatures will hover around 1 C.

Sun is not in the forecast on Thursday and into the weekend, the Environment Canada website shows.

Thursday is expected to be a bit warmer at 3 C but there’s a 60 per cent chance of showers. A slight warm up to 5 C is expected on Friday but it will bring rain to Halifax.

As of Tuesday, it’s forecasted to be a wet end to the week but temperature will increase to around 8 C by Saturday.
