Several events will be held on Saturday, July 16 at federal, provincial and municipal parks. Some of Nova Scotia’s provincial parks will be participating. Dollar Lake will be hosting a family friendly Wild About Wildlife hike starting at 10:30 a.m. Those interested are asked to meet near Loop A, wear sturdy footwear and dress for the weather. Sunscreen, bug spray, binoculars and water/snack are also recommended. Laurie Provincial Park’s Trees and Me event will allow youth to exercise their artistic side with nature journaling aimed at expanding observation skills. Meet at the program area at 11 a.m. Blomidon Provincial Park will host an all- ages kite making workshop. Parental supervision is required and materials will be provided.
