The RCMP is investigation human remains after they were found in a vehicle in Greenhill, northeast of Truro.
According to police, officers from the Pictou County RCMP responded to a scene on MacLean Road on Saturday afternoon, where they found human remains inside a burned vehicle.
“The circumstances around this incident are considered suspicious,” the press release reads.

The ongoing investigation is being led by the RCMP Northeast Nova Major Crime Unit with help from the police dog unit, forensic identification services, Office of the Fire Marshal and the provincial medical examiner.
There’s no risk to the public at this time based on evidence, the RCMP note.
Initial stages of the investigation are ongoing.
