Birch Cove Beach in Dartmouth has reopened to swimmers just in time for the weekend.
Earlier tests at the swimming spot indicated high bacteria levels in the water, but HRM says follow-up tests show the water is safe again.
The water quality at all supervised beaches, along with two unsupervised beaches, in the municipality is regularly tested throughout the summer season.
Residents can check the status of their favourite municipal beach online.
