Almon Street drug store robbed

Halifax Regional Police are investigating a robbery at an Almon Street drug store Thursday afternoon.

They say two men stole merchandise from the Shoppers Drug Mart at around 3:15 p.m.

The pair were seen driving off in a black Dodge Ram pickup truck.

Officers spotted a suspect vehicle nearby and tried to stop it, but the driver was able to get away.

“Officers did not attempt to pursue the vehicle out of concerns for public safety,” HRP said in a news release.

The first suspect is described white and 5’5″. He was wearing a black tank top.

The second suspect is described as white and was wearing a ball cap.
