A Dartmouth beach is being shut down after high levels of bacteria were found in the water.

The municipality says Albro Lake Beach is closed to swimming until further notice due to the test results.

The beach is supervised, so staff regularly test the water, the municipality says.

That testing will continue until the beach is deemed safe for public use.
