CITYnews halifax \ By Mark Hodgins

A Dartmouth beach is being closed just a day before the end of the supervised season because of high bacteria levels.

Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) said Albro Lake Beach is closed to swimming after testing revealed the high levels of bacteria.

People are being asked to stay out of the water for the time being.

The superised beach season ends on Friday, Aug. 31. The HRM said it will still advise when the beach reopens.
