Police investigate early-morning murder in Spryfield

An early-morning murder near Halifax is under investigation by local police.

Halifax Regional Police said officers were called to Twin Oaks Rd. in Spryfield around 2:20 a.m. Wednesday to reports of a stabbing.

Those officers found a 32-year-old man who had been stabbed, and police say he died in hospital.

A 32-year-old man was taken into custody at the scene and police said it’s not believed this was a random incident.

An autopsy was scheduled to happen Wednesday as police said the investigation was in its early stages.

Anyone with information or video from the area is asked to reach out to police.
