Halifax police arrest man wanted on Canada-wide arrest warrant

Regional police have arrested a man who was wanted on a Canada-wide arrest warrant for incidents in Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) and British Columbia.

Police say at roughly 7 a.m. on Friday, a 29-year-old man turned himself in at police headquarters and was arrested in relation to a warrant issued by Chilliwack RCMP and an arrest
warrant issued by Halifax Regional Police for failing to attend court.

The arrest follows a police operation that was conducted yesterday on Frederick Avenue in Halifax in relation to this investigation.

Tyler Joshua Byers is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court at a later date to face the charges in relation to failing to attend court.
