The Halifax Common Aquatics Facility is set to open at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 6. The new facility will include a pool with capacity for 300 swimmers. “The new pool will feature a sloped, beach-style entry, as well as a barrier free lift to allow safe access for users of all abilities,” the municipality writes on its website. There will also be a new splash pad, called a water plaza, that will include interactive fountain sprays.
