Pedestrian killed in Dartmouth collision

Halifax Regional Police say a man has died after a car-pedestrian collision in Dartmouth on Saturday night.

Police arrived at the intersection of Main and Hartlen Streets around 11:20 p.m. to find a 70 year-old-man suffering from serious injuries from the collision.  The man was rushed from the scene to hospital by EHS, where he later died.

Main Street was closed for several hours Saturday night as police investigated.  It has since reopened.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and ask anyone with information or video from the area to call police at 902-490-5020. Anonymous tips can be sent to Crime Stoppers by calling toll-free 1-800-222-TIPS(8477), submitting a secure web tip at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca or using the P3 Tips app.
