CANADAHALIFAX news Emergency crews put out apartment fire in Dartmouth by admin 21 يونيو، 2023 written by admin 21 يونيو، 2023 252 By CityNews Halifax Staff Emergency crews rescued some residents at an apartment fire in Dartmouth on Tuesday afternoon. Deputy Fire Chief Dave Meldrum told CityNews crews were called to a 16 unit apartment building on Oak Street shortly after 1 p.m. “On arrival, the firefighters encountered numerous residents who were on their balconies as the corridors had smoke in them,” he said. “Our firefighters rescued a small number of people from their balconies using fire department ladders.” Meldrum went on to say they discovered fire in an unoccupied apartment on the first floor which was quickly brought under control.
