Police say a 54-year-old man from Dartmouth, who was the sole rider, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. A collision reconstructionist was dispatched to assist in the investigation. The aftermath of the crash led to the closure of a section of Hwy. 1, specifically between Wentworth Rd. and Salmon Hole Dam Rd., for several hours.
