CANADAHALIFAX news HRM officials say more evacuation orders expected to be lifted on Friday by admin 9 يونيو، 2023 written by admin 9 يونيو، 2023 252 By CityNews Halifax Staff Halifax officials say more evacuation orders will be lifted as many residents are expected to be able to return home on Friday. In a news conference on Thursday, Mayor Mike Savage said the city plans to issue an alert on Friday that will let people from certain areas when they can return to their homes. Officials say a community hub is being created for residents to ask one-on-one questions. As well, smoke kits and potable water containers will be available for evacuees to make for safer entries. It’s been nearly two weeks since a wildfire broke out in Tantallon, forcing 16,000 people from their homes. As of Thursday morning, there were still more than 4,000 people under evacuation orders. It’s less clear when people whose homes are in areas of significant impact will be able to return. The municipality said it will likely be another 10 days, as crews work to fence off destroyed properties. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Why are some orcas suddenly attacking boats next post جولي تعد بإعادة تنظيم الدبلوماسية الكندية You may also like Diesel prices to shift again in Nova Scotia... 6 مارس، 2026 Halifax Water investigating ‘privacy incident’ on its online... 6 مارس، 2026 Halifax teens lament the loss of government program... 6 مارس، 2026 Spring Garden area businesses call out paid parking... 6 مارس، 2026 Five men face obstruction charges related to Dartmouth... 2026 ‘A terrible idea’: Halifax to raise parking fees,... 6 مارس، 2026
