New service launched to help Nova Scotians access vaccination records

The Nova Scotia Government has launched a new online service that will help Nova Scotians access their vaccination records more easily.

According to the province, VaxRecordNS will list information since 2008 on school immunizations, some early childhood vaccinations such as measles, mumps, rubella and varicella, and COVID-19 vaccination.

“Having this new service in place will make it easier for people to access their own records and take work off the hands of our public health staff,” said Health and Wellness Minister Michelle Thompson. “We’re committed to investing in new systems and technology that will help us provide better and more reliable care to Nova Scotians, and that’s exactly what this service will do.”

The province said the service is available to most people with a Nova Scotia health card, adding people at least 16 years old may use VaxRecordNS and can register online at the province’s website.
