CANADAHALIFAX news William Sandeson appeals conviction and sentence in 2015 N.S. drug deal murder by admin 3 مايو، 2023 written by admin 3 مايو، 2023 46 CITYnews halifax \ By The Canadian Press A former Dalhousie University medical student is appealing his murder conviction for killing a fellow student in 2015 during a drug deal. A jury in February found William Sandeson guilty of second-degree murder in the killing of 22-year-old Dalhousie physics student Taylor Samson. Nova Scotia Supreme Court Justice Jamie Chipman sentenced Sandeson last month to life in prison without the possibility of parole for 15 years. Sandeson filed a handwritten notice of appeal on Monday stating that the trial judge erred in law by failing to remedy an abuse of process and by not recognizing that his Charter rights had been violated. The 30-year-old is seeking a stay of proceedings, or that evidence be excluded from the trial because it was allegedly obtained during an unreasonable search and seizure. Sandeson was convicted of first-degree murder in 2017 for killing Samson, but that verdict was overturned on appeal and a new trial was ordered in 2020. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Legendary folk singer-songwriter Gordon Lightfoot dies at 84 next post آراء لمناصري الحزبين الرئيسيين في ألبرتا مع انطلاق الحملة الانتخابية You may also like مانيتوبا تحول بعض صادراتها الكهربائية من الولايات المتحدة... 15 أبريل، 2025 بيار بواليافر يتعهّد بطرد مرتكبي الأعمال المعادية للسامية 15 أبريل، 2025 Nova Scotia auditor general credits government on progress... 15 أبريل، 2025 Nova Scotia Stampede getting upgrades after last year’s... 15 أبريل، 2025 N.S. moves forward with plan to force municipalities... 15 أبريل، 2025 Driver caught going over double the limit on... 15 أبريل، 2025 Small drop in people on Nova Scotia primary... 15 أبريل، 2025 worth $2,000 of lobster stolen: Nova Scotia RCMP 15 أبريل، 2025 N.S. offers up to $150,000 for information in... 15 أبريل، 2025 HRM residents still open to welcoming U.S. tourists... 15 أبريل، 2025
