Nova Scotia’s Department of Labour is investigating after a man was injured in a workplace incident on Monday.

At roughly 8:30 a.m., officers responded to a workplace injury call on Akerley Boulevard.

Police say a piece of equipment fell off a truck onto a person who was helping to unload it.

The 40-year-old man was transported to hospital for treatment of what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

According to HRP, the Department of Labour is now investigating the incident.
