Sherbrooke tops Mooseheads 3-2 in OT to take 2-0 series lead

The Sherbrooke Phoenix took a 2-0 series lead against the Halifax Mooseheads after topping the Herd 3-2 in overtime on Sunday.

The Phoenix got off to a strong start with David Spacek and Jakub Brabenec giving Sherbrooke an early 2-0 lead.

After a scoreless second period, Mathieu Cataford brought the Moose back within one near the midway point of the third period.

Alexandre Doucet tied things up in the final seconds of the third period to force overtime.

But it would be Tyson Hinds who would score the game winner to give Sherbrooke the 3-2 win.

The Phoenix now lead the series 2-0 as both teams head to Quebec for games three and four on Tuesday and Thursday.
