CANADAHALIFAX news No impact to frontline policing services due to PSAC strike: N.S. RCMP by admin 20 أبريل، 2023 written by admin 20 أبريل، 2023 95 CITYnews halifax \ By Dan Ahlstrand Nova Scotia RCMP say it’s business as usual with their core policing services despite the ongoing strike by members of the PSAC union. In a statement, the RCMP says frontline services necessary for the safety and security of the public will continue as usual during the labour disruption. The Mounties said the strike would impact services like administrative support, media relations, web updates, and public access to RCMP building in certain areas. The labour disruption will also impact criminal records checks, and the RCMP are asking those waiting for information on checks to get in contact with their local Detachment RCMP Detachments in Northeast Nova and Southwest Nova Districts will only be open to the public, offering front-counter services on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be no impacts or changes with regards to the answering of phone calls placed to Detachments.
