CITYnews halifax \ By Mark Hodgins

Parents of school-aged children in Nova Scotia are breathing a sigh of relief on Wednesday morning.

Multiple reports indicate a tentative deal has been reached between CUPE and the regional centres for education. Social media accounts for CUPE locals across the province have posted news of the agreement.

The union had said its school support staff members, including bus drivers, would go on strike on Friday if no deal was reached.

CUPE has not made the details of the tentative deal public.
