The alert on Sunday night warned residents of Indian Brook, part of Sipekne’katik first nation, that a 27-year-old woman could be armed in the community after reports of a shooting inside a home on Dowie Rd. In an update later Sunday, police said officers had searched the home and found no evidence of a shooting. The 27-year-old woman then reportedly turned herself into police, and was released without charges due to a lack of evidence that an offence had been committed.
