Halifax Regional Police says officers were called to a weapons complaint at Charles P. Allen just before 9:30 a.m. where they took a youth into custody. Police say the young person is a student at the school. The three injured people have been taken to hospital, but no update was given on their condition. Halifax Regional Centre for Education has since closed the high school for the day, saying all students are safe and families will get more information before the end of the day. HRCE spokesperson Lindsay Bunin told reporters Monday afternoon two staff members were injured as well as the suspect. “We are extremely saddened and troubled by what took place this morning at Charles P. Allen High School in Bedford,” she said. “The police were on scene immediately. We’re extremely thankful for their quick response, both the police and our staff, and the student was taken into police custody.” Prior to the incident, Bunin said there was a concern with the student. “The student was in the office at the time that the incident took place,” she said. “It was all very, very quick and very immediate. So as soon as it was realized that there was a violent incident taking place, there was an announcement made which was hold and secure.” HRP said police searched the school and students were safely released from the property. The investigation is ongoing. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Cape Breton University food bank cannot keep up with demand: student union president next post NSH: Check your Take Home Naloxone kits You may also like CITYnews halifax : ‘Incredible strides’: 12-year-old Tumbler Ridge... 18 يونيو، 2026 CITYnews halifax : N.S. premier says future support... 18 يونيو، 2026 راديو كندا الدولي : منظمة العفو الدولية تتصدى... 18 يونيو، 2026 راديو كندا الدولي : مونديال 2026: إنزال جماهيري... 18 يونيو، 2026 CITYnews halifax : N.S. hacker convicted of fraudulent... 18 يونيو، 2026 CITYnews halifax : Downtown Halifax restaurants booking up... 18 يونيو، 2026 CITYnews halifax: Homelessness doubled in HRM under government’s... 18 يونيو، 2026 CITYnews halifax : Police investigate after woman hit... 18 يونيو، 2026 CITYnews halifax: Strike not over yet as issues... 18 يونيو، 2026 راديو كندا الدولي: سجال بين فورد و’’أنغوس ريد‘‘... 18 يونيو، 2026
