Freezing rain is in the Friday forecast.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for all of Nova Scotia, including the Halifax area.

It says significant freezing rain and ice pellets could last for four hours or more.

But as of 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, there’s still some uncertainly on the timing and whether the slick conditions are expected Friday night or earlier in the day.

“The public is urged to monitor future forecasts from Environment and Climate Change Canada as warnings may be warranted,” the weather advisory stated.
