Transit driver ticketed after pedestrian struck by bus

A Halifax Transit driver has been ticketed after a pedestrian was struck by a bus Friday morning.

Halifax Regional Police say it happened at around 7:15 a.m. as the bus driver was turning right from Joseph Howe Drive onto Highway 102.

The pedestrian was in a marked crosswalk at the time.

She was treated at the scene for non-life threatening injuries.

The bus driver has been ticketed for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
