A 15-year-old is facing charges after two robberies in downtown Halifax early Saturday.

Halifax Regional Police were called to Duke and Argyle streets just after 2:30 a.m.

Officers were told a teen with a knife and a sensory irritant demanded money from two women.

The victims weren’t hurt and the youth ran off empty handed.

Police soon arrested a suspect, then learned of a second robbery that had happened earlier in that area where a teen with a knife and a sensory irritant threatened a man and demanded money from him.

The 15-year-old is scheduled to appear in youth court today to face charges of robbery (3 counts), carrying a concealed weapon (2 counts), possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose (2 counts), uttering threats, disguise with intent and breach of recognizance.
