A woman suspected of being impaired behind the wheel is facing drug trafficking charges.

Halifax Regional Police say she was pulled over on Highway 111 near Main Street at around 8:20 p.m. after an officer spotted an erratic driver.

“The vehicle was stopped, and the driver was determined to be impaired,” HRP alleged in a news release.

“Police arrested the driver and seized approximately 3,000 nonprescription pills from the vehicle.”

The 30-year-old woman will appear in court to face charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking, impaired operation of a conveyance, and operating a conveyance while over 80mg% at a later date.
