Nova Scotia Health says there’s a worldwide shortage of a specific reagent/chemical needed to operate the equipment used for chemical water analysis. The pause starts Monday and will be reassessed within three or four weeks. In the meantime, the health authority says municipal, registered, and private water supply owners can try alternate testing facilities, but cautions they might also be experiencing supply issues.
