CITYnews halifax \ Tyler Dunne Listen to this article The Halifax Regional Municipality announced Thursday, Aug. 18, Kinap Beach is closed to swimming. The beach has been closed due to high levels of bacteria in the water. Municipal staff regularly tests water quality at all supervised beaches during the summer months, and recent tests show bacteria levels exceed guidelines set by Health Canada for swimming. High bacteria levels can be caused by several factors, including dogs, birds, wildlife, and high temperatures. Staff will continue testing the water until bacteria levels return to safe levels. The municipality will advise residents when the beach reopens. Check the municipality’s website for more information on Halifax’s municipal beaches and outdoor pools. 0 comment 0 FacebookTwitterPinterestEmail admin previous post Possible blue-green algae risk at Oakfield Beach next post You may also like Carney says Canada will match U.S. auto tariffs 2025 Halifax only paying for demolition of fire-damaged building... 3 أبريل، 2025 The latest on Trump tariffs: Senate passes resolution... 3 أبريل، 2025 Taxpayers on the hook for demolition of Bloomfield... 3 أبريل، 2025 Religious gathering cancelled in N.S. because of fears... 3 أبريل، 2025 Driver faces multiple charges following collision in Spryfield 3 أبريل، 2025
