At around 4 p.m. on July 21, 2007, police were called to the area of Maynard and Woodill streets, just north of the Halifax Common, to investigate a report of gunshots. Arriving officers found Bourgeois, who had been shot several times. He died of his injuries. Witnesses told police they saw two men fleeing the area after the shots were fired, and one was carrying a gun. HRP believe there are people who have information that could help them advance the case. “We hope that the passage of time will encourage them to do the right thing and come forward with what they know,” police said in a news release. “It is never too late to come forward and the smallest piece of information may be just what is needed to progress the investigation.” Anyone with information can call police at 902-490-5016.
