Police respond to suspected drowning at King’s Wharf

On Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at 8:02 p.m., Halifax Regional Police and Halifax Fire and Emergency responded to King’s Wharf, Dartmouth, for a report of a missing swimmer. Witnesses reported an adult male had gone under water and could not be located. A joint response was quickly conducted by officers and firefighters, but unfortunately they were unable to locate the male.

Halifax Regional Police with the assistance of the RCMP dive team will be in the area in attempt to locate the male. The identity of the male is not being released at this time. More information will be provided when available.
