As of 12:25 p.m., Nova Scotia Power says the outage remains in the area by the MacKay Bridge affecting parts of Tufts Cove, Shannon Park and Wrights Cove. About 1,400 customers are without electricity. The utility says damage to overhead equipment is to blame.
