Halifax Regional Police are investigating after the same Needs Convenience Store was robbed twice early Saturday.

Officers were first called to Highfield Park Drive just before 12:30 a.m. that day.

They say a man took cigarettes and cash, then assaulted an employee who confronted him.

He ran off with the cigarettes.

Then at around 6 a.m., HRP say the suspect returned and tried to steal more cigarettes, then threatened and assaulted an employee.

He’s described as white, in his 20s, around 5’7″ with reddish-brown hair and facial hair.

He had been wearing black jogging pants, a black winter jacket, a dark grey hooded sweater and black shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 902-490-5016 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
