Police investigate after woman appeared to be forced into vehicle

Halifax Regional Police are investigating a suspicious incident in Dartmouth Wednesday.

At around 2:35 p.m., witnesses reported seeing a man who appeared to grab a woman and force her into a vehicle before driving off.

It happened in a parking lot near 230 Brownlow Avenue.

The man is described as white and in his 20s with a slim build and red hair. He had a beard and was wearing dark rimmed glasses.

The woman is described as white and in her 20s. Her long brown hair was in a ponytail and she was wearing dark pants or leggings.

The vehicle is described as a black older model Volkswagen Jetta or Passat with steel rims.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 902-490-5016 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
