The Halifax Regional Municipality is seeking residents’ feedback on the redevelopment of the Halifax Forum.

The Halifax Forum has been home to recreational and community events for close to 100 years and welcomes over 500,000 residents and guests annually. The redevelopment is an opportunity to retain the historic legacy of the Halifax Forum, while building a modern facility where all residents are welcome to enjoy events, community connectivity, sports and recreation programming, and an open green space.

In collaboration with the Halifax Forum Community Association, the municipality has finalized a proposed development concept. It will include an accessible welcome area, one large multi-purpose space, two ice pads, and parkland surrounding the facility.

The municipality is now inviting residents to review the final design and provide input on issues like parking, green spaces, and more.

Residents can participate in an online survey on Shape Your City. The survey will be open from April 8 to April 30.
