Since Monday, members issued 131 summary offence tickets: 41 for speeding, six for failing to wear a seatbelt and 82 for other offences including using a cell phone while driving, failing to obey traffic signs/signals, no insurance, expired plates and invalid inspections. There were also two tickets issued for stunting, which were previously reported. One incident occurred on Highway 118 near Wright Avenue in Dartmouth and the other on Highway 102 near Larry Uteck Boulevard in Halifax. In an ongoing effort to address traffic safety issues and educate citizens on the rules of the road, our officers focus on speed enforcement. We all have a role to play in keeping our roads safe.
