Another winter storm is on the way.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Nova Scotia, including the Halifax area.

It’s still too early for specific details, but meteorologists say to expect the system to impact us late Thursday and into Friday.

“This storm is expected to bring a mixture of snow, ice pellets or freezing rain and strong winds to the region,” the weather advisory said.

At this point, it’s thought the heaviest snow will hit the Valley and other northern parts of the province.

“Remaining areas of the province can expect a mixture of snow, ice pellets and freezing rain,” the statement added.

“Similar storms in the past have caused hazardous driving conditions, travel delays and school closures,” it cautioned.
