It’s a month to celebrate the rich history of African Nova Scotians.

Tuesday, Feb. 1 marks the beginning of African Heritage Month.

The theme this year is “Through Our Eyes: The Voices of African Nova Scotians”.

The province says that theme recognizes the legacies of people of African descent through first voice, lived realities and experiences.

There are various virtual and in-person events planned throughout February, all will be following COVID-19 public health measures.
