‘Very intense’ winter storm to impact Halifax this weekend, says Environment Canada

Halifax and the rest of Nova Scotia can expect another weekend storm. 

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement, saying it is monitoring the development of a “very intense” winter storm that will impact the province on Saturday into Sunday.

The national forecaster says the storm is expected to bring rain, snow and strong winds to the region, and storm surge could be a concern for coastal regions.

There are no details yet regarding specific precipitation amounts.

Environment Canada says to monitor future forecasts ahead of the weekend.
