Halifax Regional Police were called to the Crescent Gold and Diamonds store just before 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. They say a man broke a display case and took a piece of jewellery, then pushed an employee who tried to stop him. The suspect ran into the mall where he was detained by two bystanders and mall security officers. Alexander Kenneth Pritchett, 27, is scheduled to appear in court today to face charges of robbery and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
