Man in police custody following Dartmouth investigation

Halifax Regional Police has taken a man into custody for “outstanding investigations” after officers tried apprehending him earlier Saturday morning in Dartmouth.

At 5 a.m. on Jan. 8, officers were trying to apprehend the man at a building located at 104 Roleika Dr.

HRP instructed local residents to stay inside and secure their homes while police conducted an investigation in the area.

Officers ended their operation around 7 a.m.

Police say the man was peacefully taken into custody and that the investigation is still ongoing.
